Dr Percy Taruvinga

Dr Percy Taruvinga (PhD) is a highly experienced Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and the New Zealand Psychologists Board. With over eight years of post-qualification practice, he has worked across South Africa, Zimbabwe, and New Zealand in hospitals, corrections facilities, NGOs, and private practice. He holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Limpopo and has received advanced training in EMDR, Schema Therapy, CBT, and psychometric assessments.

Dr Taruvinga currently runs Taruvinga Psychological Services in South Africa and also works at Rob Ferreira Hospital, where he provides therapy, clinical supervision, and psycho-legal assessments. His expertise covers a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychosis, ADHD, personality disorders, and trauma-related conditions. With a strong background in both individual and group therapy, employee wellness, and psycho-legal work, Dr Taruvinga is dedicated to evidence-based, culturally sensitive care. He has also contributed to academic research, published journal articles, and presented at international psychology congresses.
